Below you will find a floor
plan for both the Superliner and Viewliner Sleeping cars. These
are the two types of sleeping cars available on our long distance trains.

Superliner
Superliner equipment is most often found traveling on our
western trains. Passengers traveling on the Capitol Limited and
Auto Train in the eastern part of the country also have an opportunity to
travel in a Superliner compartment.

Superliner Bedrooms Suite
Suite 1 - (B

The Superliner Bedroom Suite is
made up of two Superliner Bedrooms opened up and combined
together. The Suite is designed for four passengers (but can
accommodate up to six). Bookings online can not exceed the
4-passenger limit) Amtrak agent assistance is required to exceed
the maximum occupancy for individual rooms or suites. The
suite offers two private, self-enclosed toilets and showers in
the cabin.

AUTO TRAIN: The auto Train operates with a set
of equipment that offers all Bedrooms on the upper level.
When booking the Auto Train you may find rooms (J,
K, L, M, N)

PEAK TRAVEL SEASON: During the
busiest of seasons you may find a Superliner set of equipment
that offers all Roomettes on the upper level. These rooms will
be numbered :18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. 24. This
sleeping car does not offer Bedrooms on the upper level.
Viewliner
Viewliner equipment operates
exclusively in the eastern part of the USA. This is single level
equipment.

Viewliner Bedrooms Suite (A and B)
The
Viewliner Bedroom Suite is made up of two Viewliner Bedrooms
opened up and combined together.
The Suite is designed
for four passengers (but can accommodate six in a pinch).
Bookings online can not exceed the 4-passenger limit) Amtrak
agent assistance is required to exceed the maximum occupancy
for individual rooms or suites.
The
Bedroom Suite offers two private, self-enclosed toilets and
showers in the cabin. The Suite has comfortable reclining seats
on either side of a sweeping picture window. At night, the seats
convert to a bed, and an upper berth with its own picture window
folds out from the upper wall.
