Introducing: Amtrak eVouchers

Effective immediately Amtrak is introducing its new electronic refund and exchange process or eVoucher (electronic voucher). This service will now store passengers' refundable value of a ticket purchase in the form of an eVoucher.

The eVouchers Program is a component in Amtrak’s efforts to move to an eTicketing environment. The focus of this effort is to remove value baring exchange and refund “paper” vouchers from circulation. Moving forward eVouchers may be generated and emailed to passengers when their reservation is impacted by cancelation and refund of some sort.

Amtrak 2012 USA Rail Pass Pricing Announced

Excellent & Easy Way to Discover America by Train

The Amtrak USA Rail Pass is still the most affordable and convenient way to explore the grandeur of the United States with over 500 destinations served. The new rates for 2012 will be effective November 1, 2011 and represents Amtrak’s first price increase since 2008.

Pricing for 2012

08 segments of travel within 15 days -- $429USD
12 segments of travel within 30 days -- $649USD
18 segments of travel within 45 days -- $829USD

Reservation Information: For reservations processed at the 2011 USA Rail Pass Fares.
Amtrak will continue to offer 2011 USA Rail Pass Rates through October 31, 2011.

To Guarantee the 2011 Rates Make Travel Reservations on or before October 31, 2011:
For travelers outside of the United States, send your name, desired travel date(s), your USA Rail Pass Confirmation Number and the train(s) on which you want to travel to inat5@sales.amtrak.com prior to October 31, 2011, or call (001) 215-856-7953 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday from 8:30-17:00 ET).

Amtrak will permit reservation for USA Rail Pass travel up to 6-months in advance. Traveling more than 6-months out and the new pass prices will prevail.

Reserving space after October 31, 2011 will require an additional collecton to upgrade to the 2012 USA Rail Pass.
